The Ethnic Communities Development Fund aims to improve New Zealand's social cohesion and it supports the development of established ethnic communities as well as emerging ethnic communities.

The Fund has a total of $520,000 avaliable each year. 

There is one funding round each year and the fund is avaliable for projects planned for the next calender year (1 January to 31 December).
