How are the Community Led Development programme funding requests assessed

When a Community-Led Development Programme partner makes a request for funding the assessment process will involve consideration of:

  • alignment between the request for CLDP funding investment and the community or hapū vision, plan and desired outcomes
  • contribution in support of the five core CLD principles
  • direct community or hapū benefit and community or hapū support for the funding investment
  • contribution to the long term sustainability of the community or hapū vision and desired outcomes
  • any secured or potential co-investment or co-investment in kind
  • the capacity of the community or hapū and/or their fund holder/backbone organisation to implement and manage the funding investment
  • risks and options to mitigate these
  • the quantum of Crown Funds available for the CLDP at the time of the request for funding investment.
