What supporting documents do I need with my Oranga Marae request?

What you need to provide with an Oranga Marae application

Marae development planning

All investment applications for marae development planning must have a detailed budget setting out the costs for the activities that will be undertaken to complete a marae development plan.

Technical / feasibility support

All investment applications for technical / feasibility support must have:

  • a detailed budget setting out costs of the report/s
  • a quote for services that will be undertaken. Each quote must be no more than four months old at the time of submission. 

Unless these documents have been supplied previously, you will need to provide:

  • your Marae Development Plan 
  • signed copies of meeting minutes showing endorsement of the Marae Development Plan
  • a letter signed by two trustees of the governing body endorsing the Marae Development Plan

The Marae Ora Committee will meet weekly to make decisions on investment towards marae development planning and technical / feasibility support.
Applications need to be submitted before 5pm Wednesday to be considered the following week.

Marae development implementation

All funding applications for marae development implementation must have:

  • detailed project budget and plan (including a timeline) 
  • any applicable reports or consents which were required as a result of the technical / feasibility phase of the project, or as otherwise advised by a consenting authority 
  • at least two quotes for the work or services that will be undertaken. Each quote must be no more than four months old at the time of submission. 

Unless these documents have been supplied previously, you will need to provide:

  • your Marae Development Plan 
  • signed copies of meeting minutes showing endorsement of the Marae Development Plan
  • a letter signed by two trustees of the governing body endorsing the Marae Development Plan
