Making an application

Note: The expression of interest and application forms are currently being reviewed. New forms wil be available on this site from early February 2012.

Applying for funding is a two-stage process. Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) prior to 31 March. EOIs will be considered by the Advisory Trustees and successful applicants will be invited to submit a full project application.

1.  Expressions of Interest (EOI)

EOIs must be submitted on the forms provided and all sections must be completed.

2.  Full applications

Applications must be submitted only on the forms provided and all sections must be completed.   Applications must be on a current application form.

Sending us an EOI or full application

Please do not use folders or binders to present your application form as it will be photocopied.

Do not send any additional information unless specifically requested to do so.

Wherever possible, applications should be typed. If the application is hand-written, please print neatly and in black ink.

Submitting an application form is not a guarantee that funding will be approved.

When to apply

The closing date for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) is 31 March*.

The closing date for full applications is 18 July.

*As the closing date for the next funding round to the Pacific Development and Conservation Trust falls on Saturday 31 March, applications to the 2012 funding round will be accepted up until 5pm on 2 April 2012.

Accountability requirements

The accountability requirements for grant recipients are set out in the grant agreement.

Grant recipients are required to send in progress reports every six months and an accountability report at the end of the project.

Promoting Pacific Development and Conservation Trust support

Grant recipients must acknowledge the financial support given by the Pacific Development and Conservation Trust in all relevant publicity material, publications, annual reports and similar documents.

Information disclosure

Applicants should be aware that application information may be released, if required, under the Official Information Act 1982. After 10 years, all applications will be transferred to Archives New Zealand, where they will be available to members of the public.

All recipients of grants are published on this website.

In submitting a grant application, an individual or an organisation (the applicant) acknowledge and agree that the Department of Internal Affairs may disclose to, or obtain from, any other government department or agency, private person or organisation, any information about the applicant for the purposes of gaining or providing information related to the funding of the applicant.
