Lottery Individuals with Disabilities makes grants to people with mobility and communication related disabilities.
For funding purposes, an individual with a disability is defined as 'as person who has a permanently reduced capacity to be transported, personally mobile or communicate, as the result of a physical, sensory, psychiatric or intellectual disability'.

Lottery Individuals with Disabilities recognises the aspirations and needs of Māori, and their protocols.
Our priority is to assist individuals whose disabilities are caused by a congenital disease or disorder, or an injury that occurred overseas or prior to 1974.
Lottery Individuals with Disabilities will fund the purchase of vehicles, vehicle modifications, scooters and other mobility equipment that will provide outdoor mobility. It also provides grants to people with communication-related disabilities for the purchase of equipment to facilitate communication.
